　　People will sacrifice candy, water, beans to the Kitchen God to flatter him, so that he can reportgood things about the family.

　　人們?cè)趶N房供奉糖、水、豆子來討好灶王爺,以便他能對(duì)玉帝進(jìn)好言。

　　As a result, the Jade Emperor may not punish the family, which can live safe and sound during thenext year.

　　因此,玉皇大帝便不會(huì)懲罰這家人，使他們明年一年都平安順利。

　　On the Festival's Eve, the Kitchen God will go back to the human’s world, so he will get a warmwelcome from human beings.

　　除夕前夜,灶王爺會(huì)回到人類的世界,受到人們的熱烈歡迎。

　　After this sacrifice on this day, the ancestors will be worshipped by the whole family, and thesacrifice remains in place till December 30.

　　舉行過祭灶儀式后，全家人就開始供奉祖先一直到大年三十。
