　　hundreds/thousands/millions of表示不定數(shù)數(shù)量。

　　hundreds of成百

　　thousands of成千，成千上萬

　　millions of成百萬

　　At night we can see thousands of stars in the sky.

　　夜晚我們可以看見天上成千上萬的星星。

　　Hundreds of old people took part in the long race that morning.

　　那天早晨成百個(gè)老人參加了長(zhǎng)跑賽。

　　但是hundred, thousand, million作計(jì)數(shù)單位被基數(shù)詞修飾時(shí)不能用復(fù)數(shù)形式。

　　比如：

　　Several hundred old people watched the performance by the children.

　　幾百個(gè)老人觀看了兒童們的演出。

　　Three thousand college students helped to work on the farms in their summer holidays.

　　三千名大學(xué)生在暑期

　　There were big animals on the earth about two million years ago.

　　大約二百萬年以前地球上有巨大的動(dòng)物。
